Alex Gallafent is a story coach, convening designer, and facilitator who helps the world’s most ambitious leaders shape and deliver the messages that matter most—on stage, in the room, and across organizations.
Currently Executive Director at IDEO, Alex is the firm’s leading storytelling expert. Over the past decade, he’s led more than 130 engagements with Fortune 100 companies, philanthropies, public institutions, and high-velocity startups. His work weaves together narrative design, leadership communication, and high-stakes performance.
Before IDEO, Alex built a career in journalism and live performance. He reported for the BBC from five continents, producing radio stories and cultural features for global audiences. He’s also written, composed, and performed for the stage in London, New York, and elsewhere—work that continues to shape his approach to voice, presence, and space.
Across it all, his focus is singular: to help extraordinary people share what truly matters, and to do it well.
